An attorney/partner at Blachly, Tabor, Bozik and Hartman, David Hollenbeck is an experienced practitioner and teacher in Workers' Compensation Law who also devotes much time to representing a wide variety of governmental entities, including the City of Valparaiso , the Porter County Council, the Regional Development Authority (RDA) and the Northwest Indiana Regional Planning Commission.

Mr. Hollen beck was inducted into the first class of the ABA College of Worker's Compensation Lawyers in 2007.  He is past Chairman of the Worker's Compensation Committee of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association and served on the resource panel of the Indiana Governor's Taskforce on Reform of Worker's Compensation and Occupational Disease Statistics.

His professional accomplishments have earned peer recognition from fellow members of the bar who have placed him on the elite lists of Indiana Super Lawyers for the past three years and America 's Best Lawyers for 11 consecutive years. He is the only practicing attorney in Valparaiso to receive this dual distinction.

A member of the firm's Workers' Compensation team, Mr. Hollenbeck has participated in seminars and amicus briefs and teaches in that field as an adjunct professor at his alma mater, Valparaiso University School of Law.

Active in community affairs, Mr. Hollenbeck has served on the governing boards of the Boys and Girls Club, Chamber of Commerce and VU law and undergraduate alumni associations. At Immanuel Lutheran Church, he is a past President of the Church Council, a former school board member and Basketball coach. Since 1987, he has been a familiar figure behind the bench at VU football and basketball games where he operates time clocks and scoreboards.
