A radio commercial series for Valparaiso’s Lawyers on the Square - Blachly, Tabor, Bozik and Hartman was recognized Saturday by the Indiana State Broadcasters Association as the best in the state for 2006.  The award was presented at the IBA annual meeting in Indianapolis.

            The Spectrum Award for best commercial series went to local radio station WAKE-AM which produced the one-minute spots.  The commercials, which are also aired on Indiana 105-FM, feature the voices of the firm’s individual attorneys talking about their areas of practice as well as their personal and community interests outside their work.

            “Gee, lawyers with personalities,” said IBA judges in written comments about the award.  “(This commercial series) is a nice way to personalize what most people think of as a pretty impersonal bunch.  We especially like the nice touch at the end when we learn a bit about (the lawyers’) personal lives.”

            The content of the radio commercials was jointly created by Radio One Communications and Nancy Meyer, marketing consultant to Lawyers on the Square.
