What do I do if I am hurt on a construction site due to an unprotected trench or a violation of safety regulations?

Most of the time when someone is hurt on a construction site, we’re initially contacted by a family member. In those situations where someone falls from a height or from an unprotected trench, they’re seriously hurt or killed. On a construction site there are many different companies and many moving parts. There are normally general contractors and sub-contractors. They are heavily regulated by the government. There are OSHA regulations that apply. There may be other standards that apply. It’s also very important to get to us quickly in those situations because a construction site may change very quickly. It’s important that we get to the scene to be able to take pictures, talk to witnesses, make sure a proper investigation is complete so that we can preserve the necessary evidence to pursue a case on your behalf.
