I called Randy Zromkoski desperate for help after my daughter’s disability benefits were discontinued and said she owed SS over $50,000 for overpaid benefits. I Googled for an attorney with experience in the area of Social Security Disability and found Randy from the firm of Blachly, Tabor, Bozik and Hartman who came highly recommended. I called for an appointment and first was able to speak with Randy about my daughter’s benefits being discontinued. He was extremely knowledgeable and agreed to meet me in person to further discuss. I brought him mounds of letters and paperwork that he went through quite thoroughly. We also discussed the possibility of going before an administrative law judge for reconsideration. Randy then brought up if my daughter’s work with her employer was subsidized which I did not understand what that meant. Randy asked me to talk with her employer regarding this, to which they complied agreeing her work was in fact subsidized. I returned to the SS office with this proof that made all the difference. Her case was reexamined and her benefits were reinstated. If not for Randy, my daughter would not be receiving benefits that she depends on to live her life as independently as possible. I cannot thank Randy enough for taking the time to talk and meet with me and offer his expertise in this area. Fifty four years old, has lived in Valparaiso as of January 1976, worked since detassling corn at the age of fifteen, college educated, and by my calculations that were completed this past September , most likely penniless and homeless by Valentines day. An accident in November 2018 ultimately led to me existing in the black void of not being able to physically/mentally work while simultaneously not being able to qualify for SSI. Denied multiple times, I was honestly terrified of where my life and where the quality of that life were headed. Had consultations with two other local disability attorneys, each offered to take my case (and my money) and both made sure to make it abundantly clear to me that mine was a tough case and not to hold out much hope. When I initially met with Attorney Zromkowski, he also agreed that my case was a tricky one , likely notn winnable , but Randy’s advice, unlike the others was not to lessen hope, but rather that we have a challenge in front of us, and for us to be successful in this challenge we will need to do the following. We went on to discuss what eventually became our plan/strategy to ultimately gain and be qualified for the benefits I have greatly needed and will need for the remainder. Plus I recall noticing that Randy was asking me tons of questions and discussing pertaining issues that the other two attys. didn't even care to raise. Working with Randy is quite painless, communication was clear and often, I never had to play phone tag or chase him down for any reason. Every appt. was kept and on time. I liked that Randy had no problem meeting in person as opposed to electronically. Always professional, always took the time and had the patience to work with me on issues with the case or when I was unclear on any certain matter. As I worked with Randy I was also impressed by not only his legal abilities but by his knowledge/experience towards all the medical involved with my case, tricky waters Im glad he could navigate. The world of disability approval I have found is a strange world .Taking years and along with some neuro specialists and more in depth testing I finally was validated and had a diagnosis. But prior to that all the doctors that WC. sent me to and then the doctors/specialists SSI wanted me to see , then complete all the testing that SSI requires, but heres the thing, endure all this while the doctors and nurses all have one eyebrow raised in certain suspicion. To see a medical professional(s) with my fingers crossed , prayers prayed and hopes that some sort of relief is in the near future or maybe, just maybe finally a diagnosis , all just to be somewhat written off and treated as an adversary or be called a malingerer instead of a patient. After awhile the constant doubt and ridicule towards my disabilities started to have an adverse effect, my depression deepened and I started doubting myself and worse , doubting in any kind of future. The inspiring factor for me was simply that Randy believed in me and trusted I was in earnest, that grew my resolve and lifted my spirits immensely. Finally other than family , I had someone in my corner willing to work and scrap just as hard as I was at obtaining my benefits. I am very pleased and so incredibly relieved to pass along that shortly before Christmas I was informed Attorney Zromkowski had won my case /hearing and I was awarded full benefits with full retro pay. Cant ask for more than that! Ive learned so much from this ordeal, but what is absolutely paramount should you find yourself needing an SSI Atty is that your legal representation is actually experienced and practiced in fighting for disability benefits. Im absolutely certain, that if Id hired either one of the attorneys I first spoke with, Id lost my hearing and my claim. Many attorneys list and offer SSI denial as a legal service, make sure to retain one who actually does it, day in, day out. Attorney Zromkowski never promised that we would win, he just promised that we would do everything possible to do so. Ample parking.

Attorney Colby Barkes represented me in a case that was completely falsified by an ex family member - I live in Ohio and needed an attorney in Indiana I called the state bar association they gave me a few names I chose Atty Barkes - only talked to him in the phone I faxed him everything he asked for - he was so thorough - I talked to him on a Wednesday and I needed to be in Indiana on the following Monday for the court date . Got into court and Atty Colby Barkes was a cougar he proved the ex family member to be a very unreliable person. Sick Jeff wrote used doul language in front of my 89 year old mother after Menard doors closed on her .emergency hip replacement 2 months in hospital. Attorney from illegal used my mom's Medicare for billing. Ann paralegal told my mom she could not use Menard for billing on her rehabilitation cause she using her settlement monies. Jeff wrote refused to show us records when he sent out for doctors narrative reports. These reports were missing important injuries ro My mom. Jeff wrote than started using foul language in front of my mom when we asked why did u not respond back to us before the bogus reports. Jeff wrote has a foul mouth. He's sick. I used Randy for my disability and Jeffrey Wrage for an employee problem and he handled it out any problems and fast . But My Mother-in-law used Scott Bosac I recommend using another Attorney. Went against what I believe to be true not worth what you pay for slow unresponsive and no body’s time matters but his ! All I can say is that all of the attorneys in that firm have the same work ethic and and courtesy !

My experience is with two separate lawyers at that firm. Scott Bozik handles my personal needs and he is always great. Colby Barkes was my business attorney and his communication, response and followup is literally non-existent. I cannot exaggerate it. I have given him multiple legal topics to address and he acknowledges that he receives the emails but never does anything. No more dialog. Meanwhile, legal issues fester and cost money. I have since fired him and replaced him with a firm a block away that has addressed the legal issues in two days. I have still not heard from Colby repsponding to the fact that I have fired him.

I met with Kingsley regarding my late father's estate. During the initial meeting, I felt that he was talking down to me, made me feel incompetent, and was disrespectful. I decided to give it a second chance and when I had a follow-up conversation it was even worse than the first meeting. When I would repeat what he was saying to me he laughed and stated that "I was not understanding him." Dealing with estates can be a sensitive matter and I will be looking for a more respectful attorney moving forward.

That is a little difficult to believe when they require a $100 consultation fee. Um, I'm sorry, did they miss the part the part about disabled, homeless, or jobless? How? How am I to pay for something when I am already jobless?

My wife called in effort to have a consult with attorney Barkes but was repeatedly interrupted by the firms paralegal and not given the opportunity to fully explain ALL moving pieces. The consult was deemed unnecessary by the paralegal. What’s worse is that when my wife attempted to email the attorney directly to STATE VERBATIM inaccurate advise she’d been provided by the paralegal, there was no direct followup from the attorney. Instead the same person my wife had spoke directly to emailed and lied about what was actually stated on the call. I heard it, my wife speaking directly to the paralegal heard it, and our interior ring camera heard it!!!! What’s worse is that the written response claimed that the attorney contacted and spoke with my wife WHICH never occurred. If this is the way that they make their money, we will pass. The “care” in displayed from the firm in the negative ratings and responses on Google is a ploy to keep up appearances in my opinion.

Duane told me over and over that he had 40 years of experience, but during the hearing he showed severe incompetence in how the court runs, and with proving my side. His primary concern was "lets make this as easy as possible", and never addressed major issues. The other lawyer addressed these issues very well and I ended up losing and now have to appeal with a competent lawyer who can successfully prove my side of the case.
