What is the statute of limitations on a wrongful death issue?

Depending on the circumstances of how someone is killed will determine the statute of limitations. Most of the time, it’s two years from the date someone is killed. But it is important that people don’t wait that long. If a governmental entity is involved, for example, there may be as little as six months to give notice that’s required under the law to that governmental entity that you’re going to sue them. It’s always important to get to an attorney right away, simply because of the need to conduct a proper investigation. The attorneys here at Blachly Tabor Bozik & Hartman have the experience in these types of cases. We’ll walk you through them and be by your side from the beginning to the end.
